Columbia-HTC

Those questioning whether the Columbia-Highroad clean team could be competitive in 2008 were left to eat their words as the team racked up nearly 80 wins — including 17 alone for Mark Cavendish, who, at 24, looks poised to rule bunch sprints for the next decade. The team will miss Germans Gerald Ciolek and Linus Gerdemann, both gone to Milram, but hopes to see Kim Kirchen or Michael Rogers deliver on their Tour-podium potential.Other riders to watch include George Hincapie, Thomas Lövkvist, Bernhard Eisel, Edvald Boasson Hagen and André Greipel. And last year’s Tour de Georgia winner Kanstantsin Sivtsov could be ready to climb with the best.
