The Gran Prix of Gloucester is sometimes called the "New England Cyclocross Worlds." The ocean-side course attracts huge crowds of racers and spectators. In 2009 the two-day Massachusetts event hosts stop #3 and #4 of the North American Cyclocross Trophy Series. It is also part of the Verge New England Cyclo-cross Series.
